Not just direction, but endurance
It is one thing to start well.
It is another to continue.
Psalm 119 turns here toward endurance.
Teach me, O Lord, the way of Your statutes;
and I will keep it to the end.
Not just understanding.
Not just beginning.
But staying.
There are many ways we start.
Few things we carry through.
The prayer here is not:
“Show me something new.”
It is:
“Show me something I can hold onto.”
Because the challenge is rarely the first step.
It is the thousand that follow.
And yet…
there is a way that does not shift.
A way that holds,
even when we do not feel steady.
Give me understanding, that I may keep Your law
and observe it with my whole heart.
This is not about perfection.
It is about alignment.
Have you ever known the right path—
but struggled to remain on it?
That is where this meets us.
Not just learning the way.
But staying in it.
